Dr. Chopra is a psychiatrist who specializes in child, adolescent, adult and forensic psychiatry. She is triple board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Obtaining her undergraduate degree in Psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating with distinction.
While at UCLA, Dr. Chopra participated in psychological and breast cancer research, was an Assistant Resident Director, and served as Secretary General for the Model United Nations program. She then received her Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.) from the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) College of Medicine. While at Penn State, Dr. Chopra served as the President of Penn State’s chapter of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA).
Dr. Chopra completed her adult psychiatry residency at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), and completed further subspecialty fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). In addition, Dr. Chopra completed a second fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the University of Southern California (USC) Institute of Psychiatry, Law, and Behavioral Sciences.
